With natural, un-dyed yarn, handmade in the UK it is completely plastic-free and incredibly sustainable. Available in a choice of our three natural colours.
Each order will be sent with a hand-tied small bunch of organic lavender, also grown here at my home. Lavender is a natural moth-repellent to preserve your hat when not in use. The bunches are tied using scrap fabric and yarn to make them as eco-friendly as possible.
These ear warmers must be handwashed only, but they won’t need washing very often at all. Full care instructions are here.
Size Guide:
We are pleased to be able to offer custom sizing so if you cannot find the size/colour combination you’re looking for then please place a custom order (dispatch time 1-2 weeks). As a rough guide you should order a headband that is 2-3 inches smaller than the size of your head.
Our standard sizing is Junior = 17 inches ( to fit head size around 19-20 inches), and Adult = 19 inches (to fit head size 21-23 inches).
Perfect for sensitive skin and allergies. Alpaca fibres are very smooth (smaller, and flatter scales than even merino wool) making it extremely gentle and soft against the skin.
Alpacas produce little to no lanolin which is present in sheep’s wool. Most people who suffer from allergies to wool are actually reacting to the lanolin rather than wool fibre. Any lanolin in alpaca wool is naturally washed out during the cleaning process. It is this lack of lanolin which makes alpaca hypoallergenic.
Reactions to dyes or the chemicals used in processing are also common. But our products are all dye-free, and the processing doesn’t involve any harsh chemicals.
Items available for pre-order (backorder) will be dispatched within 1-2 weeks of you placing an order. If ordering multiple items then all items will be held and dispatched in one package.
